What We Encourage

- Ending conversations politely when not interested

- Reporting behavior that violates guidelines
What We Don't Allow
- Harassment: Bullying, threatening, or targeting individuals
- Hate Speech: Discrimination based on race, religion, gender, orientation, or nationality
- Adult Content: Nudity, sexual material, or sexually explicit conversations
- Illegal Activities: Discussing or promoting illegal acts, including drug use
- Spam: Advertising, promoting services, or sending repetitive messages
- Impersonation: Pretending to be someone else or creating fake accounts
- Privacy Violations: Sharing others' personal information without consent
- Scams: Attempting to defraud or manipulate users for money or goods
- Violence: Glorifying or inciting violence against any person or group
- Self-Harm: Content that promotes or glorifies self-harm
Enforcement
Violations of these guidelines may result in:
- Warning: First-time minor offenses receive a warning
- Temporary Suspension: Repeated violations lead to temporary bans (1-30 days)
- Permanent Ban: Severe or repeated serious violations result in permanent removal
Our moderation team reviews reports and makes final decisions. We may also use automated systems to detect violations. Appeals can be submitted through our contact page.
Reporting
If you encounter behavior that violates these guidelines, use the report function immediately. Provide as much detail as possible including usernames, dates, and descriptions. We review all reports within 24-48 hours and take appropriate action.
Good faith reporting is encouraged. False reports intended to harass others may result in consequences for the reporter.
Your Responsibility
By using Talk With Strangers, you're responsible for your own conduct and the content you share. You're also responsible for protecting your account credentials. Never share your password and use two-factor authentication when available.
Remember that while we moderate the platform, you ultimately control who you interact with. Block users who make you uncomfortable and trust your instincts.
